5 And Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar, with the burnt offering, which is upon the wood, that is on the fire: this is a sacrifice made by fire for a sweet savor unto the Lord.
6 ¶ Also if his oblation be a peace offering unto the Lord out of the flock, whether it be [a]male or female, he shall offer it without blemish.
7 If he offer a Lamb for his oblation, then he shall bring it before the Lord.

- Leviticus 3:6 In the peace offering it was indifferent to offer either male or female, but in the burnt offering only the male: so here can be offered no birds, but in the burnt offering they might: all there was consumed with fire, and in the peace offering put apart.
